Reincarnations, Souls and Immortality....
Finally, i found the topic for my new post (I guess by now you have read the topic name). Well, i recently finished reading this book called Many Masters Many Lives by Dr. Brian Weiss. That's when it came to me to share my thoughts on Reincarnation.
Concepts of Rebirths and Spirits have always interested me. Being bought up in a Hindu family, these terms were never foreign. Out of sheer curiosity i also landed up doing done a little project on Regression Therapy (Regression therapy is similar to Psychoanalysis. However psychoanalysis is limited to the present life whereas in regression therapy one regresses to past lives) While reading up on this topic for the project, i did come across instances of people actually remembering their past lives. Such cases of rebirth are always in news and some of them seem so real.
I do not know whether there are reincarnations - but i do feel like believing that i would be reborn and that i have had some thousands of past lives. The thought that there exists a possibility of life after death is actually soothing, milds the fear for death.
Even then numerous questions come to my mind -Are we eternal? Are souls reality? Do rebirths actually take place? Do past lives bear an impact on the present life?
Unfortunately, I do not have answers to these questions (at least as of now). I think unless and until i do not experience a rebirth i would not believe in this concept of rebirth. But then how would i know that i am reborn as some other person?
To me soul is the inner voice - call it our sub conscious mind. To it, there is something that i believe in very strongly - all our acts are balanced out in this life only. One shall reap as one sows in the present life only.
Who has seen the future life?? Its making the most of the present one, ain't it? Its all about making the most of this mortal life and being remembered as a good soul. What do you say?
And, and if you have answers to any of my questions or some insights on this topic, might as well write to me....thats that ...Reincarnations, Souls and Immortality....
